Angella is 10 years old and in P5 Class.  She lives at home with her single mother.  Her mother is a street vendor and does her best to care for a family of six.  Angella is in good health and dreams of becoming a nurse one day.  Won't you help Angella realize her dream by becoming her sponsor?
 
KU17:  Daniel Kasasira 22/5/01
Daniel is 7 years old and in the P2 class. His father is attending university trying to improve their situation. His mother is a housewife. He loves to study and wants to be a driver when he grows up. He often struggles with a cough and fever. 
 
KU19: Linite Bayo
This child if only 5 years old and in the Baby class. He stays with the grandmother and has no idea where his parents are. His father died and his mother is missing. He struggles with malaria and a terrible cough. 
 
KU20: Steven Mwesige  
Steven is 7 years old, in the Top class, and wants to write! He is in fair health and does average in school. He lives with his mother, who is a street vendor, and two siblings. His mother is a street vendor.
 
 
KU25: Julia Namala
This 4 year old in the Middle Class lives with both parents. Her Mother sells clothing, but the father is not working. He is not a Christian and does not support the family. Julia is a bit weak, but in fair health. She love to write!
 
KU26: Angel Ainembabazi
 
Angel is 6 years old and in P1 class, where she is a very obedient  and inquisitive student.  She is a quiet girl, but very playful and she loves to play netball.  Angel's  father lives in a far village and her mother comes and goes, so Angel lives with an aunt and uncle.  She comes to school everyday with a stomach ache due to problems with these living arrangements.  Plans are bring made to help remedy the situation.     


KU27: Ruth Nagayi ie
Ruth is in the Middle Class and is five years old. Her Mother is a single parent working in the market. Shhe is a quiete has two brothers and one sister. She struggles with bouts of malaria, but is very active. She is average in school, but loves to play. She likes her teacher and the Headmaster at school so much and never wants to go home.   She needs a sponsor so she can continue attending school and receiving the love she needs so much.

* An urgent situation exists in Mexico as towns are terrorized by drug cartells and violence of all types exists.  Pastors and friends Jim and Kay Baker are currently in the U.S. and unable to return to their ministry work in Mexico.  Pray for His wisdom and direction about possible plans to return to their home and office in Mexico for several days.  They ask for the Lord's provision as the situation is putting a strain on their finances.  Their daughter-in-law living in Mexico says they feel like prisoners in their homes as they try to stay off the streets and daughter Deborah needs prayer while considering moving back to the states due to the danger.  Please continue to pray for God to intervene and stop all of the killings and bloodshed.  Pray for the church to rise up and with one voice intercede for the peace of Mexico.  

* Please pray for restoration of health for Headmaster Richard of Grace Fellowship Primary School, Kampala Uganda.  Since our trip in August, he has been experiencing general body weakness and chest pains.

Dear Mama Carla,
Praise the name of the most High.  Thanks very much for all you did and the team at Grace Fellowship Primary School.   I can`t imagine how many children and teachers were broken hearted by then, but through you and the team God healed them!!!  Even those who had lost hope regained hope,waaaaa!!!  Praise Jesus for the Heart Cry team 2010 to Uganda.  Let me tell you God`s love, mercy, and grace were manifested at our school.  Praise Jesus who gave you this vision.  We pray that God may continue opening more doors for this ministry because through it God`s kingdom is going to continue expanding tremendously.  Pastor, I can not express what is on the bottom of our hearts, but let me say you really ministered to us so much.  Thanks very much for the children`s message.  I will read it to them as soon as the term opens.

I am one of the participants at the RTC Level 1 course at Saint Peter's Blessed African Church Diocesan Hq, Agege, Lagos State organised by The Evangelical Fellowship of African Church (TACEF) for their Children Teachers. I really want to acknowledge God's grace in the life of all the instructors and the institute as a whole. Its really a blessing of God to my life because the training enlightened and changed my approach to teaching, and also to positively affect the children of my generation. Thanks very much, Sir and Ma.  May the almighty God continually increase your strength and His grace to reach out more to the primary caregivers of our generation in all parts of this country.

An RTC Training Institute (Level One) was conducted at Saint Peter's Blessed African Church Diocesan Headquarters in Agege.  It was organized by the Evangelical Fellowship of African Church (TACEF) for their children's ministry teachers.  The faculty was comprised of Pastors Akintaro and Oyewunmi, Wole Gbogboade, and headed by Rev. Mrs. Azuka Gbogboade.

Students came from 14 branches of the church in two states (Lagos and Ogun).  The students did the practical work very well, considering they have not seen such material before.  At the end of the training 20 participants were awarded an RTC certificate.  Gifts were presented to the team leader (Sis.Taiwo Akinpelu) and and the class captain (Brother Oluyobi), who scored the highest mark in his assignments.  Faculty members prayed for the graduates and commissioned them to disciple children.  The class prayed for the RTC ministry and faculty members.

Testimonies   
Brother Iluyombo Olukoga said that it was God's grace that brought him to the program.  He said that he was imparted with a new picture of how to disciple children.  He stated further that his generation was not discipled like this, but thanked God that others will be discipled using all of the various methods that had been taught.  

Mrs. Agore C.O. (a retired nurse matron and now childrens' teacher coordinator) is called the Mother of Children in her church and her neighborhood, where she also has a children's club.  This training has given her a new vision for children's ministry.

RTC Africa was invited to minister at the children's camp meeting of Liberty Evangelical Church, Abesan in Lagos ,Nigeria.  RTC was represented by Pastor S Olu Oyewumi and Kemi Daniel on Tuesday 6th April, 2010.  The theme of the meeting was CHAMPIONS FOR JESUS. Judges 6:14.

During question time, one of the children asked how to be born again and give ones life to Christ. The answer to this question led to an altar call and six children gave their lives to Christ. Eighty-nine children attended the meeting.  PTL!

Christ Family Evangelical Mission Church (home of RTC Africa) was able to purchase a new auto bike for ministry work at Benin Republic Brethren Church.  The motorcycle will help the advancement of the Gospel, particularly in rural areas.  Thank you to those brethren at Christ Family Mission who were able to offer prayers and support for this.  The church has been saving for the auto bike since last year.

Please pray for the success of upcoming Training Institutes in Lagos and Benin Republic (May) and Burkina-Faso, Sierra-Leone, and Ghana (Sept.).

Greetings in Jesus name, Friends.  Last year, God did great things in RTC for which we are so thankful.

PRAISE:
Feb. We ministered at Foursquare Gospel Church National Children Teachers Seminar.

March- We were in Kpalime, Togo for RTC Seminar.

April  - We were in Gao, Northern Mali for RTC Seminar.  We also did a Seminar for Scripture Union (SU), lagos State at their Camp.

July/Aug- We conducted RTC Level 1 Training at Foursquare Gospel Church. Over 30 participants were trained while 28 of them were graduated.  We also did 2 major Children camp meetings for Foursquare Gospel Church.  HCI had 3 Seminars in lagos & Ogun State between 12th-25th Aug. 2009 including Board members' Retreat; a Women & Children program with Pastor Carla & Ron Ives. 

Sept- We trained in Cotonou, Benin Republic.  We also ministered at African Church National Children Camp meeting with over 1000 Children participating. We also ministered to Children Teachers.

October- We ministered at the National Convention of Children Ministry of the Foursquare Gospel Church.

November- We had a one-day Seminar for Children Teachers of the Africa Church in Lagos State.

2010:
We are trusting God to conduct Training in Abuja, Lagos, Burkina-Faso, Cameroon, Liberia,Mali and Sierra- Leone as the Lord provides.  We covet your prayers.  Thanks for your support.  Blessings.  Wole

Praise the name of the Most High.  Thanks very much the update about your trip because many of your children and grand children were asking me about it. Our primary seven children sat for their primary leaving examination in 2009.  100% passed - we really praise God for that!!!!!
I also send our deep appreciation for your prayers and financial support.  You always provide to us.  In fact, through this you have brought hope to most of the children who had lost hope long time ago.  Thank you, thank you very much.  Extend our appreciation to all members of Heart cry International for their contribution.  We pray to the almighty God to continue blessing you richly.

Reach The Children Africa

Praise the Lord!  On Saturday, November 28th of 2009, Reach the Children of Africa ministered at the Lagos State diocese of the African Church.  Pastors Wole & Azuka Gbogboade taught all of the children's teachers in their Lagos State Church branches for three hours!  Pastor Wole, RTC president, stated, "This has opened another great door.  The coordinator who happens to be a national officer said on her visit to our house that they were all blessed!  Also, they have agreed to have Level One (of the Children's Ministry Institute) for ALL children's teachers at the national level in the 2nd quarter of 2010.  PTL!"

The work here is moving on well but with challenges of high prices of daily needs and famine due to the drought.

The children sponsored have been a great blessing to our ministry as we get enough food to feed even those without support.Convey our appreciation to all the sponsors.

The high school is developing and we have agret need of a boarding section because even some street kids have espressed a need to join.We need a push to make ends meet with rent,teacher's salaries and a labratory.

The street children's ministry is growing so rapdily ,about 60 children come every day,we feed them,teach them and share the gospel with them.Some of them are staying there,we need to finish building the church ,so that we get enough room.The container is now fully utilised as office and store for food and other suplies.

The children at the homes are doing well and some of them are going to sit for final exams.  Sarah and john are going to sit for final exams and I will finish school in May next year.

Again we thank God for all your prayers,love and great support for our work.  May the Lord open more doors.

Lydia is 12 years old and in only P4. She lives with her mother who is separated from the father. The mother volunteers wherever she can get work. There is not enough money to pay school fees so Lydia can continue her education. She enjoys reading and would like to be at teacher one day. This family needs a helping hand…
 
KU103: Lydia Mujja
She lives with her mother. Her father died. Her mother works in the market and earns very little. There is no money for school fees. Lydia has struggled with malaria, but continues to do well in school. She is 9 years old and in P2.   She loves to write and would like to be President one day! Who will sponsor our young dreamer?
 
KU104: Angella Mbabazi
Angella is 8 years old and in P2. She lives with both her parents. Her mother who works in a public pay phone. Her father is a shopkeeper. Angella is a humble girl who is very observant in school. She is an average student but improving. She would like to be a nurse when she grows up.
 
 
KU106: Sofia Kemigisha
Sofia lives with her mother who is a shopkeeper. Her father does not live with them. This 8 year old in P2 is an average student, but loves her friends at school so much! She has a quick smile and likes to play. She is described as a lovely girl who welcomes everyone to be her friend. Is there a sponsor who will be Sofia’s friend?
 
KU108: Faith Kisakye
Faith is 7 years old and in P3. Her father is a carpenter and her mother is a housewife. She is an average student who arrives very early each day. She is eager to go to school! She has good health and loves to play with her friends. Every day she is learning more. A sponsor will give her this chance to learn.

This 12 year old is in P4. Angella lives with her parents. Her father is a shoe shiner and her mother cares for the five children. She is an active girl in both church and school. She is a promising student and would like to be a doctor one day. She enjoys working with the younger children and is a sweet girl. 
 
KU98:  Harima Nambooze
Harima lives with her parents. Her mother fries samosas (small vegetable sandwich pockets) and her father is a boda boda cyclist (motorcycle taxi). She is 7 years old and in Top class. She is a very active girl in and out of class – always full of energy! She is constantly jumping, and likes to have fun despite being often feverish and very thin. Jesus and school will help to direct her boundless energy into a positive direction…all she needs is a sponsor.
 
KU99: Aisha Nanyenze  
Aisha is Harima’s sister (KU98). She is 9 years old and in P2. Aisha is a very bright girl and active in class. She loves people! She always wants to study and hopes to be a teacher one day. Aisha is very thin and weak from many fevers. A sponsor would be a great blessing to this sweet child.

This seven year old in P1 lives with her parents. Her mother sells already cooked food and the father sells peas. Though she is a bit weak and thin, she is observant in school. She is quiet and always looking. Her language development (English) is very good. She want to study. She also shared that she’d like to be a white lady when she grows up! Do you think she was looking at Pastor Carla when she said it? Smile.
 
KU85: Elizabeth Kalungi
This 7 year old is in the Top class. She lives with her father who sells sodas. The mother lives in a far-off village. The child is sick often. She wants to study and has a ready answer. She is active in class and participates well. She would like to be a white lady when she grows up! Do you think it could happen?
 
KU86: Roger Mwesigwa
Roger is 14 years old and in P5. His father is a carpenter and his mother is a housewife. He has five siblings. Roger is in fair health and likes to study. He is an average student, but improving. He likes music and hopes to be a pilot one day.
 
KU87: Gerald Kaganda 27/6/94
Gerald lives with his father who is a boda boda cyclist (motorcycle taxi). His mother is in the village. He is very active in school and self-driven to do the work. This 14 year old in P5 likes to study and would like to be a doctor one day. He is rarely sick and very confident. He has six siblings and likes to play football (soccer).
  
KU89: Immaculate Atukunda 25/3/93
This 15 year old in P7 was recommended by the Headmaster and Pastor for sponsorship. She lives with her mother who sells sweets and breads. She has never known her father. Though she struggles with fever, she is very bright in class and well-behaved. She is willing to listen and hopes to be a lawyer one day. If she could only have a sponsor she said she would put more effort into her studies. Who will take up this challenge?

This 9 year old girl is in P2. Gloria lives with her mother who is a shopkeeper. Her father lives in a far-off village. Her mother recently had twins! When Gloria first came to school, she struggled, but is not improving rapidly. She is a humble girl and precious. She would like to be a doctor when she grows up.
 
KU72: Allen Nantume 30/7/97
Allen is in P6 and is 11 years old. Her mother is a hairdresser and her father died. She is a hard working girl who likes to study. Though she lives a bit away from the school, she tries very hard to arrive early – sometimes before the teachers! She would like to be a lawyer when she grows up.
 
KU73:  Musa Salif 20/6/93
Musa is 5 years old and in Baby class. He lives in the nearby slum area. He loves school and runs to the Headmaster when he sees him and tells everyone that he is there! His mother is a cook and his father is a hawker – one who carries things on his head or in his hands to sell around town. Though he often feels sick with fever, he is promising in class and a good student. He loves his friends and will love his sponsor too!
 
KU74: Phiona Namaganda
Phiona lives with her parents. Her father works in a petty business and her mother is a cook. She is four years old and in Baby class. She is a humble child and has difficulty making eye contact. But she is very promising in school and loves to be with her friends. She would like to include a sponsor as her new friend!
 
KU75: Rose Namiiro  (1990)
This 18 year old deals with horrible flashbacks from the day her father killed her mother with an iron bar in front of her. Her father then abandoned her. She stays with her grandmother and is a good student. The grandmother took her from school to work as a cleaner, but the Headmaster and friends convinced the grandmother to allow her to return. She struggles with bouts of malaria and with the tortured memories, but is looking to Jesus for healing.   She needs a sponsor who will love and pray for her. She is in Secondary School in S5.
 
KU76: Shalon Nakamate  23/3/98
This humble girl is very shy and only 10 years old. She is in P2. Her parents are separated. Her mother sells cooked food. Shalon is a bit weak and very thin with a bad cough. She has bouts of malaria. She is improving in school and loves the Headmaster so much! Pastor Carla especially loved the dimple in her right cheek – if only there was a bit more “fat” there too…a sponsor could make the difference.
 
KU77: Irene Ayisibwe  6/10/97
Irene is 10 years old and in P3. Her father is a boda boda cyclist (motorcycle taxi) and her mother cares for the children at home. She is a promising child who loves to read. Irene loves people and is very pleasant to be with. She smiles easily and is in fair health.

Shamim is 7 years old in the Top class. Her mother is a pump attendant and her father is a shoe shiner. She has four siblings and is described as a friendly girl. She is a good girl in class, participating well, and with excellent performance. She has big eyes, a big smile, and a promising future. 
  
KU66:  Immaculate Namulindwa  
Immaculate is 7 years old and in the Top class. She lives with her mother who is a cleaner. Her father lives in a far-off village as a farmer. She sometimes struggles with sickness and a bad cough. Yet Immaculate is very active in class, observing everything. Her Headmaster at school declares that she can always tell him what he wore, how he held the microphone, or anything else he did! She is very bright in class and so wants to continue her education. 
 
KU67: Scovia Banura  1/3/02
Scovia lives with her parents. Her father is unemployed and her mother serves food in a hotel. This six year old in the Top class is a humble girl, struggling with malaria off and on. She has four siblings. Banura wants to write and loves going to school. 
 
KU68: Jamirah Nansamba  4/4/01
Jamirah’s father is a policeman and her mother cooks and sells tea. she is 7 years old and in P1. She is a promising student though often weak. She has a quick smile and truly loves people. When she sees you, she will come running! How she will love her sponsor!

KU5: Whitney Atyeno 9/9/03
This four year old is in the Middle Class. She lives with both of her parents, but recently lost both a brother and sister to sickness – that could have been treated if medical care were available. She has only one brother remaining. Whitney loves her teacher best. She seems to love everyone! She attends church every Sunday. Her parents are without work at this time. They are barely surviving.
KU8: Christine Nabawanuko
Christine lives with her mother. Her father died. She has 3 sisters. She is in the P3 class at 8 years old and wants so very much to learn. She has good behavior and is a bright girl. She attends church faithfully. Her mother is employed at a small retail shop, working long hours. They live with the grandmother and truly need the sponsorship program so Christine can continue in school.
KU13: Promise Eseza 3/7/03
This child is 5 years old and in the Middle class. Her mother is a clothing repair tailor and refugee from the Congo. The pastor gave her a place to live. She works hard but cannot get customers to come to her shop. Promise struggles with cough and fever.

We send your donation to the approved ministry partner that represents Heart Cry International, usually a native pastor or missionary of long-standing relationship with our founders. The partner distributes the funds to the appropriate agents. Sponsored children do not receive the money directly. Box 207, Mt.Pleasant, MI 48804 using the envelopes that are provided.
